Omi Kohoan Temple
This temple was built for the salvation of Enshu Kobori (1579-1647), the lord of Komuro Castle and one of the three masters of the Japanese tea ceremony. Noted for its beautiful garden, the place was designated by the prefectural government as a place of scenic beauty. This is the most popular spot in northern Lake Biwa for viewing the crimson leaves in autumn.
