Mt. Ibuki

Mt. Ibuki(1,377m) is the highest peak in Shiga Prefecture, which is considered one of the hundred most famous mountains in Japan. It's also known as a treasury of herbs and alpine plants from olden times. A climb to the summit is rewarded by comforting views of Lake Biwa , Mt. Hira , Mt. Hiei and the Japan Alps. Outdoor sports such as paragliding can be done here.
