Kinomoto Jizoin Temple

Kinomoto Jizoin Temple

A 6 meters-tall image of Jizo (guardian deity of children) stands in the precinct of the temple. Many visitors come to pray before this Buddha for good eyesight. This temple is famous in history because it's where Hideyoshi Toyotomi pitched camp at for the Battle of Shizugatake. It also contains records of Kukai, Takauji Ashikaga, and Yoshiaki Ashikaga (all famous historical people) visiting here.
